History

Our Faculty is established as Gazi University Çorum Faculty of Divinity, affiliated with Gazi University with the Law No. 2809 on the amendment and acceptance of the Decree-Law No. 41 on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions published in the Official Gazette dated July 11, 1992 and numbered 21281, and the Law No. 3837 on making changes in the Decree-Laws No. 78 and 190. The Faculty started teaching in the 1993-1994 academic year with 30 students enrolled in the Department of Divinity under Gazi University and gave its first graduates at the end of the 1996-1997 academic year, and later affiliated with Hitit University, which was established in 2006.
